Welcome! I’m Dorothy Markowski, Artistic Director and Founder of Haus of Balayage in Barrington, Illinois.

For over 25 years, I have dedicated my life to the art of hair, specializing in balayage, advanced color techniques, and precision styling. My Journey

My love for hair began as a teenager, when I realized that a simple haircut or color could completely transform the way someone feels about themselves. Over the years, I honed my craft through thousands of hours behind the chair, advanced certifications, and continuous education in the latest trends and techniques.

Through this journey, I discovered that balayage, dimensional color and custom haircuts were my true calling. These techniques allow me to create soft, natural, and effortlessly beautiful results that grow out gracefully and are completely tailored to the individual.
